| In September each year, Tartan Farms have F1 weaners (8 weeks old) for sale, both females and steers with a lot of attributes of Lowlines. Small, easy to handle, black and polled, they are chocolate brown when first born. | |
| Most members of the family can handle our animals. | |
| Maybe this is a better option than calves from much larger beef animals with associated problems of feed, size, temperament and damage caused to fences and the land. | |
